Call for Tutorials & Workshops Proposals
The IEEE CTSoc International Conference on Gaming, Entertainment & Media (GEM) is for researchers and practitioners in all forms of gaming, entertainment, and media. Our goal is to consider all the possible impacts of applying these technologies for the betterment of humanity.
Tutorials are expected to provide the audience with an insight on a selected technical topic in the scope of the conference. Workshops, instead, includes also an hands-on component through in which participants are allowed to practice using their own equipment or material provided by the workshop presenters.
Topics of Interest
We are looking for tutorials & workshops on the topics of IEEE GEM 2024
Proposal Format
Proposals should be 1-2 pages in length in IEEE letter format, with the presenters’ CVs submitted as supplemental material. The proposal should include the following information:
Format. tutorial/workshop
Title
Topics
Name, affiliation, and email addresses of presenters
Proposed duration. 30 minutes, 1 or 2 hours
Target audience. Who is expected to attend? What prior knowledge is assumed/required? How many attendees are expected?
Expected outcome. What would the attendees learn?
Novelty/innovation being presented. What is new and innovative in the tutorial/workshop?
Tutorial/Workshop abstract
Tutorial/Workshop details. Explain with as much detail as necessary what will be offered in the tutorial/workshop.
Hands-on Component (for workshops only). What is involved in the hands-on component? What tools, and software are needed? Is the attendee expected to provide any materials?
Supplementary materials.
Any additional materials that provide a complete picture of the tutorial/workshop, e.g. slides from previous similar workshops conducted, requests, etc.
Presenters’ CVs: A 2-3 page CV of each presenter that includes name, affiliation, current position, mailing address, and email address. A summary of their experience in this area should be included as well as a list of publications and/or presentations that are relevant. Evidence of teaching and/or experience in the topic area should also be provided.
Submissions should be in PDF using the IEEE letter format with the presenters’ CVs included as supplementary material. The submission should be sent as a single PDF file using the link accessible via the button below.
